Scratch Art Cards

Students will use black coated scratch cards to create tiny works of art that are made completely out of Line. Remember that the definition of a Line is a moving dot, and that there are many types of lines to be investigated in this assignment.

Your drawing will be created completely out of lines!

So start by drawing the simple outline of an ordinary object, like a leaf. Place the original object right next to your scratch card as you work, and imagine that your paper clip (which you will be scratching with) is actually touching the edge of the leaf. You will be attaching your sense of touch to your sense of sight as you carefully draw the entire contour of the leaf…
